It was an extra special day for staff, residents and relatives of Pacific Care. Three of their care facilities were awarded Playlist For Life plaques at a ceremony held yesterday in the outskirts of Glasgow.

This is the first care group to have more than one site certified as a Playlist for Life establishment. Playlist For Life's deputy chair Andy Lowndes and training officer Paula Bain presented the plaques to the staff in the presence of Pacific Care's managing director Brendan Brawley and health care director Janice Allan.

Andy and Paula were overwhelmed by the staff presentations and the level of effort that Pacific Care staff have put in to make this a success.

We were also delighted to hear about the whole home approach to Playlist for Life which involves all nursing, care and ancillary staff having a role in helping residents and service users find and use their playlists. This truly demonstrates that Playlist for Life is an integral part of the day to day care of Pacific Care's residents and services users.
